We aren't so sure how "awww" this guy is.
Mom isn't too excited about him or his three other pals who decided to take up residence in the leaves of her pentas. They are about 4-5 inches long and quite fat. They must have been very hungry because they devoured a whole lot of leaves. Mom ordered them to vacate the premises and relocated them to the woods. As if that isn't bad enough, somebody is eating all the pretty flowers on her African daisies in the front landscape beds. And her tomatoes plants are green and healthy, but the flowers keep disappearing. She says it is pretty difficult to get some tomatoes without the flowers:(

I can identify about pacing ourselves, or not. I'll probably write about it in the near future, but I've decided not to fight it. 😊
ReplyDeleteYou two nailed the Awww Monday part! That's some fun puzzle your Mom did!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's no good to have those fat bugs eating all your plants. Our mom likes to do puzzles too and can sympathise with how difficult some parts can be, but they are also a fun challenge to work on. You two are doing a great job protecting those plants.
ReplyDeleteMisty & Timber you look pretty Awww inspiring to us. We have several fat caterpillars too. Mom just reminds us that they will be moths and butterflies one day. She just wishes they didn't eat her plants first.
ReplyDeleteDid The Momster sing an Inchworm song for woo?
ReplyDeleteNice puzzle - and nice no paws managed to 'hide' a piece!
And Bravo on the pacing yourselves - can't rush being KHUTE!
H&K&W,
Willow
You two are certainly aww worthy, but I can't say the same for your hungry visitors. That puzzle looks hard!

ReplyDeleteYes, it counts! Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx (who's annoyed with Blogger for bringing your post so late to her reader...)
That looks like the caterpillar that visits my dill plant. Love the puzzle and I'm still working on them - just not as quickly as before. Duke gets bored watching me so we have to stop and play a lot!
ReplyDeleteyour phot at the end gives us the awwww moment. that is one fine looking fat and sassy caterpillar. I do know squirrels eat flowers and who knows what else. Daddy used to have a war all year long against critters eating his garden. he fed us with his big garden so is was important
ReplyDeleteWe definitely think the picture of you both made your Mama's day a whole lot better!

Java Bean: "Our Dada fed that into a reverse image search and it said it's a white-lined sphinx moth caterpillar! And then the article said that people used to collect the caterpillars, skewer them, roast them, and eat them! And then he turned about the same shade of green as the caterpillar ..."
ReplyDeleteLulu: "I would try it! I bet it's delicious!"
