While I, Timber, was on patrol watching for Miss Fluffy to make her appearance, I spotted something interesting on the deck.
Hmmm, what could THAT be???
Let me get a little closer. What is it, Mom???
It looks like a butterfly to me, Timber - maybe a Meadow Brown or a Brown Meadow???
If you say so, Mom. Whatever it is, it looks like it wants to be friends (unlike that scratchy, crunchy cicada I found last night). It is smiling at me, so I am going to give it a great big smile too.

They are beautiful parts of nature if you ask me. This looks like one of the kind which uses camouflage tries to make predators think it's a big, scary creature to be left alone.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful flutterby you found, Timber!
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, it sure is pretty! (Redford would have eaten it, just sayin')
