And now for some pretty things:
A few shots of Mom's beautiful yellow orchids now in bloom:
And before we close for today, we want to show woo what we got in the mail a few weeks ago after our True Colors Thursday post about Mom's spoon collection.
^^This is the front of the beautiful card we got from our good friend Ann at Zoolatry. And below woo can see what she sent our Mom.
^^This beautiful spoon belonged to Ann's grandmother who was second generation Scottish; the spoon comes from her hometown Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island. Ann had a collection of souvenir spoons that she had kept for many years but had decided to give some of them to a thrift store. She kept this one spoon and decided to share it with our Mom - isn't it beautiful? Thank you, Ann, Mom has added it to the international cabinet and will treasure it always as a symbol of her friendship with you.

Great job on your yellow picks! Mom loves your orchids. What a nice gesture for her to have shared the spoon with you. Those are the best kind of surprises.

I am quite fond of the large yellow thingy that eats all the munchkins in the morning and then spits them out in the afternoon-it must not like how they taste. Personally I think they taste great.

Loads of yellow here, Mommy especially likes the orchids, she had an orchid sickness and lost many this year, made her sad. Nothing is is bloom right now, no yellow here. Very nice of the human to send the spoon to your Mommy.

Steve says his favorite yellow thing is banana. Mine is my yellow ball. Mom says it needs to be trashed, but she can't bear to do it because I love it so much.

Your orchids are just beautiful. thanks for sharing them. =)
ReplyDeleteAwesome post! Thats really sweet of Ann to send your Mom that spoon. She sounds like a sweet lady, she made my Grandma's cat a gorgeous header for his blog.
ReplyDeleteHow do they keep the grandbeans stuffies away from your teeth?? That must be sooo tempting! I love stuffies, I try to steal the beans stuffies all the time, I fail regularly too, they are like stuffie bodyguards or something!

My mom used to have two yellow gloves like that but one got a hole in it, so now she wears one yellow glove and one green glove and has an extra green glove - is that silly or what? I love those yellow orchids - they're beautiful!
